Hi, I'm Tyler Jones.

I specialize in using oil pastels to tell the story of the African Diaspora from my perspective. My work combines themes of socio-politics with aesthetically pleasing yet non-idealized portraiture of Black people from all parts of the diaspora. I am intrigued by all forms of eclectic audiences ranging from jazz concerts, museum events to dive bar art shows.

My work has been featured in The City of Raleigh Museum, The Black Market, 311 Gallery, PNC Plaza, and Greensboro Project Space. I hold a Bachelors in Art History and minors in Ceramics and Arts Administration from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
